Civil Engineering Institute "IG" LLC Banja Luka was registered in March 2000. It was entered in the register of companies in the Republika Srpska under number 1-11425-00, based on the decision issued by the Basic Court in Banja Luka no U/I-681/2000.

Works within the registered activities are executed by the Company as a whole and four business centres, notably: Trebinje and Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Herceg Novi (Montenegro) and Belgrade (Serbia). Apart from these centres, two offices work in Doboj and Nevesinje and laboratory in Banja Luka.

Seat of the Company is in Banja Luka, at 92-96 Kralja Petra I Karađorđevića Street.

As at 31 December 2016 the Company employed 156 people as compared to 31.12.2013 when it had 104 employees. The Institute employs experts and technical persons of all profiles in order to meet stricter and stricter requests of investors in BiH. Apart from the experts, the Institute employs several Doctors of Philosophy and Masters of Science, thereby being listed as a scientific-research institution by the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Apart from experts, the Institute also has a high level technical capacity. It also has the cutting edge central laboratory for testing material, concrete, asphalt and geo-mechanics. Beside all this, it has 3 movable ecological laboratories, GPS sets of geodetic equipment, off-road vehicles and passenger vehicles, completely equipped with licenced programmes and computers in all organisation units.

Expert and technological component is based on the adequate licences issued in both entities and Brčko district of both individuals and the company, and on the integrated quality management system in line with ISO 9001:2007.

Education of personnel is permanent professional specialisation according to European and world standards in seminars, fairs and membership in relevant international and domestic associations (IRF, UKI etc.). The Institute is a participant in international student exchange of all profiles, organised by the University of Banja Luka.

The Institute is organised as an independent economic and business unit, whose organisational structure is made up of Business centres, offices and laboratories. Business centres of the Institute are: Banja Luka (seat), Trebinje, Sarajevo, Herceg Novi and Belgrade, two offices in Doboj and Nevesinje and laboratory in Banja Luka.

It has three mobile ecologic laboratories, which are integrated in the system with a possibility of achieving fast, accurate, quality and quantity, stationary and/or mobile measurements and analyses.

Civil Engineering Institute "IG" disposes of high technology, quality computer equipment, and uses modern software and operative systems that provide support to the activities in all fields of work and its own vehicle fleet provides for higher mobility and successfulness in work.

The vision of Civil Engineering Institute "IG" LLC Banja Luka is a flexible world company that will deal with dynamic changes in the provision of services in construction (engineering in construction, civil engineering, building construction, hydraulic engineering); designing (development of scientific-research projects and provision of services in the field of construction, energetics, ecology, education, protection at work and fire protection). Notably, by entering into the mentioned areas, Civil Engineering Institute "IG" LLC Banja Luka wants access to new information technologies, materials and scientific achievements in the field of construction, design and other activities.

B) technical documentation for structures for which the building permit is issued by the body of local self-management, notably - landscaping phase

Licence for elaboration of the technical documentation for structures for which the building permit is issued by the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Civil Engineering and Ecology RS RS (architectural phase, structural phase, hydro-technical phase, civil engineering phase, part of electrical phase – high voltage installations and electro power plants, part of electrical phase – low voltage installations, telecommunications and automation, part of mechanical phase – thermal engineering, HVAC installations, part of mechanical phase – mechanical plants and metal structures in civil engineering, landscaping phase and traffic signalisation phase).

Licence to perform activities in the field of environmental protection.

Licence to perform spatial planning, notably: strategic spatial planning documents.

Licence to perform activities of controlling the traffic safety.

Licence to perform activities of traffic safety review.

Licence for geological research (performing detailed geological research, elaboration and review of geological documentation, keeping the register of stock of mineral raw materials and activities of expert supervision over the execution of geological research).

Licence to perform activities of testing the work environmental conditions; it is to say chemical, biological and physical hazards (except for ionising radiation) and micro climate.

Licence of complying with the criteria to perform the protection and health at work activities, inspection and testing of means of work and equipment for personal protection at work.

Licence of complying with the criteria to perform activities in the field of protection at work in an area at risk of an explosive atmosphere.

AUTHORISATIONS

Authorisation to perform activities of designing, which are integral part of the main design for buildings and interventions under the jurisdiction of the Federal Ministry of Spatial Planning, notably structural phase in building construction, structural phase in civil engineering (bridges, tunnels, supporting structures), road designs, designs in the field of geo-technics, designing in the field of mechanical engineering (HVAC field of building construction) and architectural designing.

Authorisation to perform nostrification of the investment – technical documentation, for structures and interventions under the jurisdiction Federal Ministry of Spatial Planning; notably: field of construction (designs of structural phase in building construction and civil engineering), field of hydro insulations, field of power engineering (designs of electrical installations in power engineering) and field of mechanical engineering (HVAC designs in building construction).

Authorisation to perform geo-technical research and tests in the field and execution of laboratory geo-technical researches for buildings and interventions under the jurisdiction of the Federal Ministry of Spatial Planning.

Authorisation to perform the activity of designing, elaboration of designs that are integral part of the main design, notably: elaboration of fire protection designs, for buildings and interventions under the jurisdiction of the Federal Ministry of Spatial Planning.

Authorisation to perform the activity of designing, elaboration of designs that are integral part of the main design for the field of mechanical engineering (power engineering) for buildings and interventions under the jurisdiction of the Federal Ministry of Spatial Planning, notably: refinery plants, thermal power plants, heating plants - power plants and small hydro power plants.

Authorisation to perform the activity of designing buildings and interventions and to elaborate geo-technical reports in the territory of the Una-Sana Canton.

Authorisation to perform expert activities in the field of fire protection, notably: elaboration of fire risk assessment, elaboration of fire protection plans, elaboration of fire protection reports, elaboration of reports on fire protection at the construction site, elaboration of general fire protection documents, issuance of expert assessments of design documentation, issuance of expert opinion from the aspect of implementation of fire protection measures in buildings and laboratory tests in the field of fire protection.

DECISIONS

Decision to elaborate technical documentation for the execution of geodetic works and technical control over the execution of geodetic works for which this law envisages the elaboration of main design, as well as to elaborate design of geodetic marking in the field of town planning and for the execution of geodetic works for which this law envisages the elaboration of main design.
