Central Laboratory for testing materials is a part of the Civil Engineering Institute since its foundation and since then it has passed several transformations to get its present form.
The laboratory consists of three sectors:
- 1.Sector for concrete testing
- 2.Sector for stone and aggregate testing
- 3.Sector for asphalt testing
The quality of the Central laboratory's work was confirmed by accreditation in line with the requirements of the European standard BAS ISO IEC 17 025 : 2006, by decision number: 06-44-1-64-5/15 issued by the Institute for accreditation of Bosnia and Hercegovina (BATA).
In accordance with a decision of the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Civil Engineering and Ecology no. 15.03-361-274/15 Central laboratory of the Civil Engineering Institute IG LLC was authorised to test construction products, relating to the groups of products: concrete, concrete products and cement, asphalt and bitumen and geo-mechanics and aggregate.
EQUIPMENT: The Central laboratory has the equipment that conforms to the valid BIH standards, which is used for construction material testing. All equipment is regularly serviced and calibrated in line with a pre-determined plan that implies regular internal periodic controls. Working space and environment where the testing is conducted are regularly maintained so that they do not jeopardise the validity of results and cannot have any negative impact on the required precision of testing - measurement.
RESULTS: Results of testing are electronically processed and are given to a user of in the form of reports, which in addition to results contain an opinion on accomplished results; this result is based on valid standards, recommendations and guidelines.
