Civil Engineering Institute "IG" LLC Banja Luka was registered in March 2000. It was entered in the register of companies in the Republika Srpska under number 1-11425-00, based on the decision issued by the Basic Court in Banja Luka no U/I-681/2000.

Works within the registered activities are executed by the Company as a whole and four business centres, notably: Trebinje and Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Herceg Novi (Montenegro) and Belgrade (Serbia). Apart from these centres, two offices work in Doboj and Nevesinje and laboratory in Banja Luka.

Seat of the Company is in Banja Luka, at 92-96 Kralja Petra I Karađorđevića Street.

As at 31 December 2016 the Company employed 156 people as compared to 31.12.2013 when it had 104 employees. The Institute employs experts and technical persons of all profiles in order to meet stricter and stricter requests of investors in BiH. Apart from the experts, the Institute employs several Doctors of Philosophy and Masters of Science, thereby being listed as a scientific-research institution by the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Apart from experts, the Institute also has a high level technical capacity. It also has the cutting edge central laboratory for testing material, concrete, asphalt and geo-mechanics. Beside all this, it has 3 movable ecological laboratories, GPS sets of geodetic equipment, off-road vehicles and passenger vehicles, completely equipped with licenced programmes and computers in all organisation units.

Expert and technological component is based on the adequate licences issued in both entities and Brčko district of both individuals and the company, and on the integrated quality management system in line with ISO 9001:2007.

Education of personnel is permanent professional specialisation according to European and world standards in seminars, fairs and membership in relevant international and domestic associations (IRF, UKI etc.). The Institute is a participant in international student exchange of all profiles, organised by the University of Banja Luka.
